U.S. Marshal Luke Canfield (Bob Handegan) has spent years looking for his ex-wife who ran away from their Tennessee home, taking their young son. Defeated, his search ends in the Texas town of Sand Prairie, where he settles into the job of enforcing the local law.
Canfield is quickly taken with Dixie Johnson (Ann Hagemann), a blonde-haired beauty who dances at the local saloon. Problem is, so is Asa Brown (William Homel), a menacing man who heads up a local gang of horse thieves. When Brown assaults Dixie, Canfield drives Brown off in a hail of gunfire.
Tracking Brown and his brothers, Canfield sets off a chain of events leading to abduction, destruction and danger for Canfield, Dixie and two young boys. Can Canfield save the day - and his love - before all is lost?
