"In the tradition of High Noon and Dances with Wolves comes another soon to be classic." -Stuart Alson, Independent Film Quarterly

In the tradition of the classic Western--showdowns and all--comes this six-shooting tale that pays homage to the genre while fashioning a gritty twist that sets it apart.

U.S. Marshal Canfield finds himself up against the local gang of horse thieves and gunslingers in a showdown to save his love Dixie and her son from death.

A lawman on a quest to reunite his family finds himself in the fight of his life in The Showdown, riding onto DVD April 21 from North American Motion Pictures Entertainment.

U.S. Marshal Luke Canfield (Bob Handegan) has spent years looking for his ex-wife who ran away from their Tennessee home, taking their young son. Defeated, his search ends in the Texas town of Sand Prairie, where he settles into the job of enforcing the local law.

Canfield is quickly taken with Dixie Johnson (Ann Hagemann), a blonde-haired beauty who dances at the local saloon. Problem is, so is Asa Brown (William Homel), a menacing man who heads up a local gang of horse thieves. When Brown assaults Dixie, Canfield drives Brown off in a hail of gunfire.

Tracking Brown and his brothers, Canfield sets off a chain of events leading to abduction, destruction and danger for Canfield, Dixie and two young boys. Can Canfield save the day - and his love - before all is lost?

The Showdown is presented in widescreen with an aspect ratio of 16 x 9. Special features include a behind-the-scenes bonus, director's commentary, trailers and stills gallery.
