About the author

Nancy Cote was born in Massachusetts. She lives with her husband Michael in Somerset, MA. They have three children, Melissa, Katherine and John. She has written eight books and has illustrated over three dozen picture books for children. Her books have received many awards including The Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal Award, American Booksellers "Pick of the List," Society of School Librarians International Honor Book, Smithsonian Notable Book for Children, The Florida Reading Association Children's Book Award, CBC-IRA Notable Trade Book, Sidney Taylor Notable Book, Parenting Magazine Best Book and inclusion in The Original Art 98' Exhibit in NYC (Society of Illustrators).
