Artist Profile
Dean Shostak is recognized nationally as a pioneer of American music. He is best known for playing the glass armonica, a musical instrument invented by Benjamin Franklin in 1761. In concert, Shostak performs traditional and original music on violin, hurdy-gurdy and glass armonica. He has been featured on National Public Radio's "All Things Considered", the BBC's "Good Morning Television" and NBC's "Nightside".
